Mirror

How is a mirror made?

A silver metal coating is applied to a glass surface. This silver layer is then protected by a layer of copper, as well as a specially formulated base paint coat to prevent chemical attack. A second top paint coat protects the mirror from abrasion and provides a smooth even finish. Copper free mirror is available locally.

Applications:

  • Mirrors have a functional use in our daily lives, as well as aesthetic value by reflecting light and beautiful objects.
  • “Widening” a room with ceiling-to-floor mirrors or by placing mirrors on larger walls.

Mirror Processing:

  • Bevelling
  • Drilling
  • Polishing

Venetian Strip – Venetian Strips run vertically. Our eyes scan horizontally so when you break that process you interrupt the scanning process. This is a way of introducing one way vision without changing light intensities.n
