SolarVue PVB

SolarVue is made up from a piece of clear or tinted glass, clear or tinted PVB interlayer and a piece of clear glass that has a metal coating applied onto one side. SolarVue provides a medium solar control and a neutral, low reflective appearance in a range of colours.

The thin deposit of nickel and chromium coating used eliminates more than 55% of solar energy, while allowing more than 45% of visible light to be transmitted through it. SolarVue eliminates more than 99% of damaging UV radiation. SolarVue is a sided product; stock sheets are labeled by the factory to indicate the coated side.

Applications:

• Medium solar energy control with higher levels of light transmission
• Glare reduction in buildings to reduce mirror effect
• Glazed partitions and screens for medium privacy and aesthetics
• Partial one way vision

Environmental Influences:

The visual appearance of coated glass is determined not only by the colour of the glass and the coating, it is also influenced by environmental factors such as:

• Solar angle
• Ambient light level and quality
• Reflections in the glass
• Viewing angle
